SUMMARY

The Account Manager – Pharmacy Channel Mexico is responsible for developing, managing, and profitably growing Kids2’s business within the pharmacy channel in Mexico, leading business results, including sales volume, spending within budget and share growth.  The Account Manager is the lead contact with the customer and has significant internal collaboration.  The position indirectly leads a cross functional team to develop long term plans based on insight, impact shelving/distribution modifications, and execute pricing/promotion tactics to enable goal delivery

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for achieving profitable sales and share growth in alignment with sales plan goals/objectives.
  • Define the growth strategy for the Pharmacy channel in Mexico - revenue, margin, and distribution goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities (new customers, formats, categories).
  • Build and execute annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key pharmacy accounts, including targets, initiatives, resources, and KPIs.
  • Ensure price, portfolio, and positioning consistency within the broader omnichannel strategy.
  • Primary contact on items relating to daily operations of the business.
  • Maintain an effective working knowledge of external market factors, including competitive information, technology trends, retailer initiatives, pricing etc. in order to make educated account decisions and product recommendations to grow the business.
  • Work with internal and external peers around the globe to share and apply best practices for maximizing sales, managing relationships, reporting, driving supply chain efficiencies, and other aspects of the business.
  • Achieve merchandising objectives, new item acceptance and budget adherence
  • Develop effective and productive relationships within all levels of customer, as well as with cross-functional teams.
  • Work collaboratively with demand planning to provide annual and ongoing customer forecasting for new product concepts, initiatives, and annual brand plans.
  • Comfortable negotiating and ensuring delivery of agreed upon metrics and contract value; secure terms for contracts, with the ability to bargain and negotiate concessions in the interest of parsing out a final contract containing terms by which all parties agree to abide.
  • Lead development, monitoring, and analysis of sales forecasts and related data, including profitability, rate of sale, promotional performance, etc.
  • Act as the “voice of the customer” internally, sharing market, shopper, and competitive insights with Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with all internal stakeholders, aligning priorities, timelines, and resources.
  • Monitor competitor activity (pricing, portfolio, promotions, displays, innovation) and propose tactical and strategic responses.
  • Promote the use of digital and analytics tools (including AI) to improve forecasting, segmentation, and commercial effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leading Pharmacy Channel.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial roles (Account Manager) in FMCG, baby care, toys, health, pharma retail.
  • Proven experience managing Pharmacy channel customers in Mexico, specifically:
    • Farmacias Guadalajara
    • Farmacias San Pablo
    • (Experience with additional chains such as Benavides, Similares and/or regional chains is a plus).
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with management in national accounts, and across internal cross-functional departments is required.
  • Demonstrate experience on Financial and analytical work to manage account profitability and investments is required.
  • Omnichannel experience is highly desired.
  • Experience in marketing and product management in consumer products is highly desired.
  • Knowledge and use of AI tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Sales, Business Administration.
  • Financial and analytical skills to manage account profitability and investments is required.
  • Creative, highly-motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented, organized, can efficiently work in an extremely fast-paced environment, a team player and possess excellent verbal and visual communication skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • None required.

COMPUTER/TYPING SKILLS

  • Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; have flexible use of hands; and talk or hear. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Expected in office at minimum 3 days/week and moving towards 5 days/week.
  • Some travel required.
