Summary:
Own the McCain Foods' business relationship with McDonald's US within assigned regional lanes. Support McDonald's, Owner/Operators, and other supply chain partners to deliver volume and profit growth targets. You will provide exceptional service and focus on gold standard product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute customer growth plan to deliver volume and profit growth targets for McDonald's US
  • Possess a strong working understanding of McDonald US's strategy, organization, menu, Marketing/R&D, and decision- making process.
  • Penetrate McDonald's Corporate organization at appropriate levels and across key functions including Field, Marketing, Quality and SQS.
  • Support assigned Field Offices and Co-Ops for assigned lanes of supply and develop key relationships with Distribution center representatives and key owner operators in those markets
  • Deliver and support training opportunities within assigned lanes to drive towards gold standard product every time, and increase customer satisfaction in restaurant
  • Closely interface with key McCain business functions to include Marketing, R&D, QA, Supply Chain and Finance. Act as McCain's liaison for the Ronald McDonald House Charity in assigned markets.
  • Support new menu placement opportunities with McDonald's US from concept ideation to launch.
  • Establish effective cross-supplier relationships to enable cross-category collaboration on key projects with partnered suppliers.
  • Participate in key projects as identified with McDonald's US, bringing in and leveraging appropriate cross-functional resources.
  • Develop and deliver impactful customer presentations & business reviews to positively shape customer strategy and provide insights & solutions for profitable growth.
  • Demonstrate command of the business with thorough understanding of customer trends. Provide business insight and thoughtful business outlook.
  • Positively represent McCain at all McDonald's events.
  • Ensure utilization of all available resources to deliver an accurate Demand Plan.
  • Demonstrate principled leadership within the collaborative and team-oriented environment always striving to do business the right way.
  • Participate in monthly cross functional calls to enable organizational visibility to customer information
  • Support the McDonald's Business Unit at the US and Global levels as required including leading specified interactions with the McDonald's corporate team.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree.


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years National Account sales experience in the Foodservice Industry is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers for Word and Excel (spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint Presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Personal characteristics should include; a strong work ethic, the willingness and capability to be a self-starter, the ability to make informed, independent judgments, strong interpersonal skills, negotiating and communication at all levels of an organization.
  • This person should be located in the Chicago, Illinois area
  • Knowledge of the McDonald's system is preferred
