Position Summary:
The Laboratory Products Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and supporting our customers whilst enhancing profitability through effective territory planning and organization of territory sales calls and visits. This position will require an individual that is results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with a sense of urgency, has an excellent work ethic and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform sales activities on assigned accounts; Negotiate to win opportunities, performing operational analysis of customers and setting pricing.
- Development of your sales territory includes looking after existing customers, analyzing your territory to find opportunities, as well as acquiring new customers.
- Your customer base includes medium-sized to large companies from all industrial segments like food, agriculture, and testing laboratories. Our products are used in diverse areas such as production, quality control and R&D.
- Drive the business strategies in your designated territory, forecasting and providing market/competitive feedback while always ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Sell our products such as laboratory equipment, consumables, chemicals, and safety.
- Maintain and promote long-term relationships with our customers and interact with our suppliers and specialists.
- Regularly build reports on sales activities and market developments using the CRM system.
Keys to Success:
Education
- Successfully completed studies in a scientific or commercial field or comparable professional education
Experience
- Professional experience in sales and in the acquisition of new customers is required.
- Experience and knowledge in industrial sectors such as food, Diagnostics or testing laboratories are an advantage.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- A degree level education is essential, with preference given where degree subject has a strong relevance to our business or Life Sciences.
- A strong sales record with the ability to demonstrate a high level of business acumen and a clear understanding of the channel management role
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow senior level customer relationships across multiple areas like Product Management, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales Management
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must; contact management software a plus
- Mother tongue Spanish Full professional English
- Full driver’s license with the ability to travel extensively within the region (30% of time as an indicator) and also to attend regional and national meetings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- An ability to deliver a comprehensive value proposition to meet customer needs which includes all relative components of the company’s capabilities.
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must, sales force automation software a plus.
- Outgoing and confident personality, able to effectively engage with customers across a range of settings including one-to-one meetings, exhibitions and formal presentations, across all sectors in which we operate.
- This Role operates within a Matrix environment requiring the post holder to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, to manage both competing requirements and concurrent project activity. Strong project, organisational skills, time and stakeholder management competency is therefore essential to maintain several priorities and meet established deadlines.
