The Account Manager, London for Leica Biosystems is responsible for generating revenue and market share for Leica Biosystem's products and services from customers across the London territory.

This position is part of the UKI South sales team and will report to the Regional Sales Manager, South UK. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Own and meet the revenue targets in designated sales territory and accounts, promoting the full LBS product and services portfolio through customer visit, relationship building, and working as a team

  • Develop account-based sales plans and strategies to grow the sales funnel within the territory, based on a deep understanding of customer and end-user needs.

  • Research, target, identify and generate new funnel and opportunities in line with LBS strategic goals, with all leads and updates captured in SFDC (SalesForce Dot Com)

  • Utilise the DBS (Danaher Business System) toolbox in daily work

  • Own tender projects within the defined territory

  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts for orders and revenue

  • Participate in exhibitions, customer meetings and other events to support Leica brands and products

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Relevant and demonstrable sales/account management experience ideally within a clinical environment, building constructive and effective relationships both inside and outside the organization

  • Consistent track record of successful selling into NHS clinical accounts and exceeding targets

  • Ability to drive business success through handling customer needs, demonstrating a consistent and hardworking drive to bring change in support of growth over a period of time.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills

  • Ability to evaluate customer needs and selectively ‘sell’ solutions

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – up to 60% travel, with frequent overnight stays within territory and occasionally outside of defined territory as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Clinical Histology/Cellular Pathology workflows
  • Clinical NHS procurement processes
  • Formal sales methodologies (e.g. Bluesheet, Value Selling)
