About the Role
As an Account Manager on Uber Freight's Last Mile team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end relationships with customers, ensuring all contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and KPIs are met or exceeded. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for customer performance and will work cross-functionally to coordinate delivery execution, solve issues, and proactively support strategic growth. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, enhancing the customer experience, and supporting Uber Freight’s expanding Last Mile capabilities.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Serve as the day-to-day owner of assigned customer accounts, acting as the main liaison between the customer, Uber Freight, and third-party Last Mile Service Providers (LSPs).
- Manage all customer requirements outlined in contractual agreements, including service expectations, SLA compliance, and performance scorecard reporting.
- Oversee the performance of Last Mile delivery operations, ensuring a high level of on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate across internal teams (Operations, Technology, Finance, and Sales) to ensure successful execution of delivery programs and account strategy.
- Analyze account data and metrics to identify trends, operational inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Lead regular customer check-ins and performance reviews, preparing reports, insights, and action plans.
- Support capacity planning, vendor setup, pricing updates, and location onboarding in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Manage invoice accuracy, fuel surcharge tracking, rate profiles, and AR within internal systems.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, process improvement, or automation that align with customer goals.
- Maintain and update customer SOPs and internal documentation to ensure consistent service delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in account management, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Experience managing SLAs, customer contracts, or operational KPIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, TMS platforms, and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in last mile logistics, parcel delivery, or e-commerce fulfillment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, logistics software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to identify and execute on process improvement opportunities.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage customer contracts and performance metrics.
