Position Summary:
This is not a desk job where every day looks the same. As an Account Manager in the Detroit metro, you’ll own a defined area of school districts and the transportation providers and drivers who serve them—and be the connective tissue between EverDriven, those districts, and the families who depend on us. You’ll be in schools one day, running a performance review with a provider the next, and untangling a complex routing problem the day after that.
You’ll thrive here if you love owning outcomes, are naturally organized even when the environment isn’t, and get genuine satisfaction from holding providers accountable and seeing results improve.
- Own your area end-to-end—a defined set of school districts and the transportation providers and drivers who support them—managing service quality, relationships, and day-to-day operations across the Detroit metro.
- Hold transportation providers and their drivers accountable to performance standards. You’ll use data to have direct, productive conversations about what’s working and what needs to improve—and you won’t shy away from hard conversations. You aren’t afraid to remove a Service Provider or trips from a Driver who are not meeting our performance standards.
- Visit schools and meet with district administrators to check on driver quality, build relationships, and represent EverDriven’s performance with confidence.
- Triage and solve daily operational challenges in real time—reroutes, service gaps, escalated parent issues—with calm, urgency, and good judgment.
- In partnership with our Supply and Implementations team, recruit new transportation providers to build a reliable network in your region.
- Use metrics like a pro. You’ll track service performance data, identify trends, and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as the main point of contact between EverDriven and your school district clients—communicating proactively, managing expectations, and building trust.
- Support new client launches and ensure smooth onboarding of new service areas.
- Keep impeccable records on provider compliance, safety inspections, and operational documentation.
- Handle sensitive student and family information in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
You don’t need a decade of experience—but you do need to bring the right mindset:
- A natural problem-solver who gets energized by complexity, not overwhelmed by it.
- Organized and self-directed—you build your own structure in ambiguous situations and don’t wait to be told what to do next.
- Comfortable with accountability—both your own and others’. You follow through, and you expect the same from service providers.
- A strong communicator who can hold a firm performance conversation with a vendor, then turn around and reassure an anxious parent with empathy and clarity.
- Data-curious. You like having numbers to work with and know how to use metrics to tell a story and drive decisions.
- Hardworking and resilient. You know some days will be chaotic, and you’re okay with that—even a little energized by it.
- Passionate about the mission. You care about the students and families we serve, and that shows up in how you do your work.
- Excited to be in the field—school visits, district meetings, and provider check-ins are highlights of your week, not obligations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can adapt your style across audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record; ability to travel throughout the Detroit metro.
- Must live within driving distance of the Detroit metro area.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check (required for employment).
- Medical, Dental, Vision insurance
- Virtual Doctor Visits with $0 Co-Pay
- Life Insurance (company paid)
- Short Term Disability Insurance (company paid)
- Long-Term Disability Insurance (company paid)
- Flexible Time Off (FTO)
- Paid Holidays
- Paid Time to Volunteer
- Flex Spending Account (FSA)
- 401K Plan (with an awesome employer match!)
- Employee Assistance Program
- Employee Discounts Program
