The Role

Mod Op’s Account Managers cultivate relationships and drive innovation. They demonstrate attentive listening skills and provide a thoughtful strategic point of view. They promptly address inquiries without compromising quality or cutting corners. Their dedication is unwavering and excel in managing intricate details while also seeking the bigger picture. They possess a deep understanding of their clients' businesses, approaching each situation as a detective with the knowledge that every circumstance is unique. As the intermediary between Mod Op’s clients and the creative team, they consistently surpass expectations by crafting unforgettable experiences and nurturing enduring connections.  


Essential Functions 

  • Grow and develop long-term relationships with clients.  
  • Manage client day-to-day social & digital efforts.  
  • Be the client's righthand person getting to know their business inside and out.  
  • Get your hands dirty. See opportunities. Solve problems.   
  • Excel at "small ball"—communication, accuracy, quality, attention to detail.  
  • Prepare client presentations, effectively present results and attend meetings as required.   
  • Oversee multiple projects at once—information gathering, organizing, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, trafficking, reporting, delivering and guiding execution.  
  • Brief, organize and provide information to internal teams—and cheer them on now and again.  
  • Manage projects & client feedback using tools such as Jira and Airtable. 
  • Genuine interest in Social, Gaming and/or Pop-Culture.  
  • Up to date understanding of platforms such as Meta, TikTok and Twitter to stay on top of innovative approaches for clients.  
  • Willingness to learn, grow and evolve in an ever-changing industry.  


Requirements
  • MUST BE LOCATED IN THE  GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum 4 years' account management experience in an agency or client marketing role 
  • Ability to multi-task; excellent organizational skills 
  • Strong leadership skills: ability to delegate detail work 
  • Good understanding/foundation of marketing strategy knowledge 
  • Ability to distill patterns, trends, insights into actionable thoughts/opportunities for the team 
  • Proven ability to expand relationship with clients 
  • Collaborative work style 
  • Lifelong learner; always curious; good researcher 
  • Responsive; excellent listener, empathetic 

   

Preferred Experience 

  • Proven experience in agency account management 
  • Experience across the spectrum of marketing communications disciplines 
  • Experience in creating, controlling, and maintaining budgets 
  • Prior experience working with Social, Gaming and/or Pop-Culture clients
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Airtable
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
