Want to join the leader in AI-powered data security?
We’re seeking a Commercial Account Executive to help develop and grow a defined territory. This is an active, hands-on sales role where you’ll focus on prospecting, building pipeline, and closing new customers, while supporting the expansion of existing accounts. You’ll work in a fast-moving space within enterprise technology — data security and AI-powered resilience — gaining exposure to complex customer needs and high-impact solutions, with coaching from Sales Engineers and leadership.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Run disciplined outbound prospecting and convert inbound leads; new-customer acquisition is your primary motion
- Execute a territory plan and keep an annual plan for your assigned accounts, building pipeline with SDR and channel partner support
- Run structured discovery and apply our qualification framework on transactional to mid-complexity cycles, building a deal plan with manager coaching
- Engage director-level stakeholders, and more senior security and IT leaders with support; partner with Sales Engineers, SDRs, and Marketing, and raise blockers with your manager early
- Deliver clear, value-based proposals that connect Cohesity’s platform to customer security, ransomware recovery, and resilience needs; understand standard deal structures and pricing, negotiate straightforward terms, and know when to bring in help
- Sell core data protection and cyber resilience end to end, and introduce security and AI offerings with SE and partner support
- Support a smooth handoff to Customer Success and Renewals, and stay engaged post-sale on early adoption and customer satisfaction
- Work with channel partners and technology alliances (including NVIDIA, IBM, HPE, and AWS) on assigned deals
- Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking in Salesforce
- Share customer and competitive insight with sales and product teams, complete required enablement, and consistently use required tools (Salesforce, forecasting tools, AI productivity tools)
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Approximately 3+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally in enterprise technology, infrastructure, or SaaS
- Demonstrated experience selling into and partnering with Information Security / Cybersecurity teams, with a strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks, compliance standards, and the ability to align solutions to customer security and risk requirements
- A customer-focused mindset and strong interest in cybersecurity and data protection, especially ransomware and recovery
- Foundational understanding of data protection, ransomware, and recovery, with a willingness to deepen technical knowledge
- Evidence of success contributing to net-new customer acquisition and growing existing accounts
- Familiarity with Cohesity solutions (DataProtect, DataHawk, SmartFiles) is a plus; exposure to NetBackup, Backup Exec, or InfoScale is helpful but not required
- Comfort working with channel partners, with an interest in developing co-selling skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to customers and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency with the sales stack (Salesforce, forecasting tools) and demonstrated use of AI tools to improve productivity, organization, and sales effectiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Professional English language proficiency for customer and internal communication
- Willingness to travel as required within the assigned territory
