JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
The Account Financial Manager is responsible for managing programs in development and current production programs to achieve and maintain the approved business case metrics of profitability and return on investment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all financial aspects of assigned program(s) throughout lifecycle
- Lead program team in all financial aspects
- Evaluate engineering changes for cost, price and tooling impact
- Prepare and report of program financial metrics at monthly program reviews (ROS%, IRR%, ROA %)
- Sales price and manufacturing cost tracking to latest engineering levels
- Preparation of capital appropriation requests and tooling purchase authorizations
- Conduct make-vs.-buy analysis and other special studies as needed
- Preparation of customer documents along with explanations to customers
- Determination of tooling, engineering/design, and prototype costs
- Commercial open issue management to closure
- Attend weekly SDT meetings - with entire program team
- Assist in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual profit plan
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Program Management
- 5-7 years’ experience related to financial management or project management
- Strong finance skills and familiarity with business case preparation - financial metrics (ROS%, IRR%, ROA %)
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficient in advanced MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree such as an MBA
- Cost estimating experience
- Understanding of financial systems (HFM, SAP, Fiori) and processes (order to cash, billing and accounts receivable)
