About NewGen
At NewGen, we're a global social creative and creator agency made up of over 100 talented people worldwide, with offices in London (UK), Manchester (UK), and New York (USA). We partner with leading brands to shape culture, tell stories that matter, and harness the power of social-first creative and creators to drive meaningful impact.
Founded by our 30-under-30 co-founders, NewGen is an independent agency built to challenge big networks and outdated agency models. We move fast, live social, and believe fresh ideas are the only way to create work people actually care about.
Our work is trusted by some of the world's biggest brands, including Pepsi, Samsung, Amazon, SEGA, and Cash App, as well as culture-defining creators like KSI, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and PewDiePie.
Our Non-Negotiables
- Energy – Get involved, be heard, and contribute. This isn't a place for coasting.
- Quality – Everything we create should push boundaries and raise the bar.
- Collaboration – No egos, no judgment — we win as a team.
- Creativity – Fresh thinking and bold ideas keep us moving forward.
- Partnership – Be a trusted, proactive partner to our clients at all times.
Life in the New York Office
Life at our New York office blends start-up energy with the backing of a global agency. Based in the heart of Flatiron, we're a close-knit team building something special. We value curiosity, social fluency, and people who want to grow with us. We work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of three days a week in the office to keep collaboration and creativity at the core of what we do.
The Role
We're looking for an Account Executive to join our growing New York team and support the delivery of social-first campaigns across some of our most exciting client accounts. This is an entry-level role built for someone who's passionate about social, eager to learn the ropes of agency account management, and ready to get stuck in from day one.
As an Account Executive, you'll work closely with Account Managers and Senior Account Managers, supporting day-to-day account operations, building foundational client relationships, and developing the skills that will set you up for a long career in social. You'll be organised, curious, and proactive — someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do.
What You'll Do
- Support day-to-day account operations across multiple client accounts, keeping projects on track and well-organised
- Act as a reliable point of contact for clients on routine queries, with oversight from senior team members
- Assist in the coordination of social campaigns from briefing through to delivery, managing timelines, assets, and internal workflows
- Draft client communications including status reports, meeting agendas, and contact reports
- Help manage and maintain project trackers, budgets, and internal documentation
- Support briefing of creative, strategy, and production teams, and chase deliverables to keep work moving
- Monitor social platforms, trends, and competitor activity to support client and strategic conversations
- Participate in brainstorms and creative reviews, bringing fresh platform knowledge and cultural awareness
- Contribute to internal process improvements and ways of working as the team continues to grow
Social-First x Brand Impact
Being socially native is at the heart of everything we do. We don't just "do social" — we live and breathe culture. Success in this role means deeply understanding platforms, creators, trends, and conversations, and translating them into work that feels authentic, bold, and built for the feed.
It's okay to be chronically online.
We'd Love You to Have
- 1–2 years of experience in an agency, marketing, or social media environment (internships count)
- A genuine passion for social media, digital culture, and the creator economy
- Strong organisational skills and an obsessive attention to detail — nothing slips through the cracks on your watch
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate clearly with clients
- A proactive, solutions-first mindset — you spot problems early and bring solutions, not just questions
- Comfort working across multiple accounts and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with social platforms including Instagram, Snap, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook
- A collaborative nature — you're a team player who's happy to roll up your sleeves
- An interest in influencer marketing, creator culture, or content strategy (a plus)
- Knowledge of gaming, entertainment, or youth culture (a plus)
Benefits Package
- Highly competitive 30 days' holiday (excluding Federal Holidays, inclusive of the Reset Policy)
- Reset Policy – Up to 10 additional non-contractual rest days (subject to policy terms; may be amended or withdrawn)
- Birthday Leave – An additional paid day off on your birthday
- December Office Closure – Office closed during the holiday period, outside of standard vacation days
- Year-End Holiday Shutdown – Company-wide closure; some annual leave may be reserved, with discretionary additional paid leave granted where applicable
- AI Fund
- Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
- Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
- Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
- Family Leave (Maternity & Paternity)
- Training & Development opportunities
What We Do
We're NewGen, the social-first creative and creator agency that sits at the intersection of culture, community, and creators. We exist because we think agencies have been slow to adapt to major shifts in consumer behaviour and digital engagement, clinging to outdated methodologies that no longer pack the desired punch. Bringing new thinking into all corners of our business, life at NewGen is fast, forward-thinking, and fun.
