The Role:
- Daily Execution: Own the daily execution for a roster of 4–6 clients. You are responsible for active media outreach, securing impactful placements, and identifying creative windows where our clients can authentically join the cultural conversation.
- Modern Storytelling & Pitching: You aren't just sending releases; you are architecting moments. You understand how to coordinate earned media with social-first content and creator partnerships to ensure every campaign has a cohesive impact.
- Account Stewardship: Manage the essential foundation of your accounts. You own the agendas, meeting recaps, and activity reports, ensuring they are always meticulous, up-to-date, and client-ready for our senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Event & Experience Support: Provide critical support for media-specific events, including press conferences, influencer activations, and red carpets. You own the logistics: managing invite lists, wrangling media on-site, and ensuring every detail is executed with total precision.
- Content Creation: Draft creative pitches, press materials, blog content, and briefing notes. You understand how to translate a complex brand mission into a clear, persuasive narrative that captures the attention of editors and digital-first audiences alike.
- Cultural Radar: Monitor the news cycle and social platforms daily. You aren't just looking for headlines; you are looking for "vibe shifts" and trending topics where our clients’ missions can provide a meaningful voice.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers and Directors to achieve client deliverables. You are a natural collaborator who thrives in a "we, not me" environment and is eager to learn the art of long-term strategy.
- Relationship Driven: You recognize that our business is built on trust. You lead by example in every interaction—with teammates, clients, and journalists—prioritizing integrity, transparency, and professional poise.
Who You Are;
- The NYC Hustler: You have 2–3 years of experience in PR or communications across a variety of industries. You have a proven track record of securing results and managing the moving parts of a fast-paced account.
- The Modern Strategist: You live on social media and understand the creator economy. You know which platforms are driving conversation right now and can translate that knowledge into a smart pitch or brainstorm idea.
- High EQ: You possess high EQ and great judgment. You can read a room, handle last-minute client requests with ease, and maintain a calm, solution-oriented attitude under pressure.
- A Strong, Fast Writer: You are a concise and creative writer. Whether it is a 140-character pitch or a deep-dive briefing note for a CEO, your writing is sharp, persuasive, and error-free.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You love a good brainstorm and aren't afraid to suggest a new platform or a bold story idea. You have an innate curiosity about the world and how brands can make it a better place.
- Meticulously Organized: You excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You take genuine pride in the accuracy of your reports and the thoroughness of your media research.
Skills Required
- 2-3 years of experience in PR or communications
