Description of role:
- Processing and recording transactions of sales and receipts
- Raising of purchase requisitions, purchase orders to suppliers for training related inventory
- Maintenance and track of candidate related training inventories
- Handling of petty cash
Key Accountabilities:
- Handle daily accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions.
- Issue invoices, follow up on payments, and monitor aging reports
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payment vouchers
- Reconcile customer and supplier statements, resolve discrepancies
- Source and purchase training materials, office supplies, and stationeries
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies when necessary
- Maintain records of purchases and ensure proper approval processes
- Maintain accurate records, ensure timely data entry, and filing of all accounting records
- Prepare and post journal vouchers (JVs) to the General Ledger
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with monthly closing and audit requirements
- Maintain and update fixed asset listing, monitor asset movement and ensure proper documentation
- Tag and record newly acquired fixed assets
- Assists ISO Audit for accounts department
- Representative of account department in QHSE Committee
- Maintain proper documentation and records for SST-related transactions including preparing SST reports and ensure accurate submission to Royal Malaysian Customs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements of the role:
- Minimum Diploma holder in any discipline or equivalent or minimum of 3 years and above experience in book-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, etc.)
- Good communication and writing skills in English
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

This position may require regular travel both in the UK and abroad.
