About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our sales team. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing new business, as well as growing existing accounts, by selling our comprehensive suite of television and digital advertising solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of media sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue for the station and meet monthly goals through effective outside sales strategies, encompassing both traditional broadcast and digital channels, including prospecting and developing new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation strategies.
- Manage client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and maximizing revenue potential.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop customized advertising solutions that meet client objectives.
- Present proposals and negotiate advertising contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales management, creative services, and traffic, to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with regular updates and reports.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive offerings.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM system.
- Attend client meetings and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Experience with Nielsen or other media measurement tools a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Compensation - $60K to $70K Guarantee or Draw plus commission.
