As an Account Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating sales growth and expanding our impact in the K-12 education technology space. We’re looking for a self-motivated, results-driven sales professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a deep understanding of K-12 technology sales.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth to exceed quarterly and annual targets.
The impact you'll have:
- Deep Market Knowledge: Understand K-12 buyer personas and motivations, tailoring communication styles to resonate with Superintendents, CIOs, CFOs, CAOs, and other key stakeholders.
- Pipeline Growth: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline of at least 4.5X quota, proactively identifying and qualifying new opportunities.
- Expansion & Upselling: Maximize revenue by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts, driving additional value for clients.
- Seamless Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success and SDR teams to ensure smooth transitions, enhance client satisfaction, and refine sales strategies through shared insights.
- Strategic Sales Execution: Manage all pipeline activities with precision, including forecasting, reporting, and CRM accuracy (Salesforce).
- Trusted Advisor Role: Guide prospects through the buying journey, providing accurate quotes, contracts, and tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Customized Demos & Presentations: Adapt sales positioning and product demonstrations to address each prospect’s unique challenges.
- Industry Presence: Represent SchoolStatus at client meetings, industry events, and conferences to build relationships and establish thought leadership.
- Revenue Impact: Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, driving growth and contributing to our mission.
- Learning & Development: Access to mentorship, sales training, and industry conferences to enhance your skills.
What you'll bring:
- 3-5+ years of sales experience, with a strong track record in K-12 EdTech software sales and an established network of key decision-makers (Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, CIOs, CFOs, CAOs).
- Proven ability to "hunt" new business and land large accounts, navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- High personal integrity, strong follow-through, and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all sales activities.
- Exceptional communication, prioritization, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

U.S. Pay Range
$70,000—$110,000 USD
Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
