Account Executive - Japan

Job Description

We are seeking a creative, inspirational team player with a growth mindset to join our SUSE team in Japan.

In this role, you will lead SUSE’s efforts to maintain and grow an existing Enterprise customer base and establish new areas of interaction by introducing new exciting solutions. You will be supported by a diverse group of colleagues from our APAC and our global teams. We are building for the future, and you will play an integral part in a key market within the region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business within a set of customers with assistance from Inside Sales Representatives.

  • Research and plan customer activities and execute that plan with the virtual team.

  • Manage opportunities from creation to close and serve as an account manager for accounts after closing.

  • Manage and expand the SUSE footprint within our existing customer base.

  • Represent SUSE at industry events to gather new contacts and leads.

  • Contribute to the Japan marketing plan by delivering input to campaigns and events to generate new leads.

  • Collaborate with a virtual team including Inside Sales Representatives, Solution Architects, Partner Executives, Customer Success Managers, and Marketing.

Essential Experience

  • Familiarity with the Japan IT/SW landscape

  • Fluent Japanese & English (to business level)

  • Experience in B2B software sales or business development

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of open-source software approaches and related commercial models

  • Understanding of SAP workloads and supporting infrastructure

  • Experience with selling Kubernetes or other cloud-native software solutions

  • Experience from working with value based selling

  • Previous experience from MEDDPICC
