The opportunity
We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our team in Copenhagen and take ownership of the full sales cycle — from initial qualification and discovery through to negotiation, close, and handover.
You’ll work across both inbound and outbound opportunities, build trusted relationships with prospects and customers, and help organisations understand how Cision’s solutions can support their communication, media intelligence, and audience engagement goals. You’ll be responsible for creating and converting pipeline, managing complex sales processes, and consistently delivering against revenue targets.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who combines strong sales discipline with curiosity, confidence, and a genuine interest in solving customer problems.
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle across inbound and outbound opportunities, from qualification and discovery through to negotiation, close, and handover.
- Build and convert pipeline through timely inbound follow-up, targeted outbound prospecting, account research, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, events, and other relevant channels.
- Partner closely with SDRs to prioritise target accounts, develop account strategies, improve messaging, and maximise conversion from meeting to opportunity.
- Lead high-quality discovery meetings, demonstrations, presentations, and commercial conversations that connect customer priorities to the right Cision solution.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, qualify opportunities rigorously, and use MEDDPICC to manage complex, multi-threaded deals through to close.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline, accurate CRM records, and reliable forecasts while consistently delivering against revenue targets.
- Work with Marketing, Sales Leadership, Customer Success, Product, and other teams to maximise opportunities, share market feedback, and continuously improve the customer journey and sales process.
What success looks like
- You create and convert qualified pipeline through a balanced mix of inbound, outbound, and self-sourced activity.
- You run well-prepared sales conversations that uncover a compelling business case and engage the right stakeholders.
- Your opportunities progress with clear mutual action plans, defined next steps, and strong commercial alignment.
- Your forecast is reliable, your CRM hygiene is excellent, and there are no surprises late in the quarter.
- You consistently deliver against revenue targets while contributing positively to the wider sales team.
What you'll bring
- 3–4 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS, technology, media, data, or consultative sales environment.
- A proven track record of managing a full sales cycle, generating pipeline, and delivering against revenue targets.
- Strong discovery, presentation, demonstration, negotiation, and closing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes using MEDDPICC or a similar structured methodology.
- A proactive, organised, and commercially curious approach to prospecting, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- A collaborative mindset, resilience, and a continuous improvement mentality.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Fluency in English and another Scandinavian language (preferably Danish or Swedish)
Our team
You’ll join an ambitious, social, and collaborative team made up of colleagues from across the Nordics and wider Europe. We work hard, support one another, and enjoy spending time together both in and outside of the office. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, builds strong relationships, and wants to contribute actively to the team — not just deliver individually.
