More about our mission and what we offer.
Job DescriptionWise has always grown through product-led, self-serve channels. Now we're building something new: a dedicated sales function within Wise Business to help businesses understand, adopt and get the most out of Wise for their international financial needs.
As an Account Executive, you'll manage a high-volume pipeline of inbound leads generated through our website, marketing campaigns, events, referrals and partnerships. You'll be responsible for qualifying opportunities, running effective discovery calls, demonstrating the value of Wise Business and guiding customers through to successful activation.
This is a high-velocity, consultative B2B sales role, built around a structured, CRM-driven sales process. You'll need to be comfortable managing multiple opportunities at different stages, prioritising your time effectively and using data to drive conversion.
We're looking for someone who understands how a modern sales funnel works, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and knows that closing a deal is only part of the journey. Success means bringing businesses onto Wise that actively transact and generate revenue, not simply getting them to sign up.
What you'll do
Manage and convert a high volume of inbound leads from our website, marketing campaigns, events, referrals and partnerships.
Run structured discovery and qualification calls with business owners, finance leaders and operations teams, uncovering their challenges and identifying where Wise can add value.
Apply consultative selling techniques and qualification frameworks such as SPICED to identify customer needs, build compelling business cases and progress opportunities.
Work closely with the Partnerships team to convert partner-sourced leads into active, transacting customers.
Own and manage your sales pipeline in Salesforce, maintaining accurate lead statuses, opportunity stages, activities, follow-ups and next steps.
Manage approximately 80 leads per month, balancing new lead qualification with progressing and closing existing opportunities.
Guide customers through sign-up, KYC and activation, working with internal teams to overcome blockers and ensure they start transacting.
Help develop and improve sales processes, playbooks and best practices, contributing to a growing sales function and future outbound sales initiatives.
Minimum requirements:
2–3 years of experience in a B2B sales, business development or commercial role, ideally within a technology-led, fintech, payments, high-velocity sales environment.
A solid understanding of the B2B sales funnel, including concepts such as MQLs, SQLs, lead qualification, pipeline stages and conversion rates.
Experience running discovery calls, identifying customer pain points and using consultative selling techniques to build value.
Confidence using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot to manage pipeline, track sales activity and maintain accurate records.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly, ask insightful questions and explain complex products in a simple, compelling way.
Comfortable working in an evolving environment, where processes are still being developed and you'll be expected to adapt, contribute ideas and take ownership.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as SPICED, MEDDIC or similar qualification frameworks.
Experience working with inbound lead funnels, understanding conversion metrics and managing a high-velocity sales cycle.
Experience selling financial or technical products to business owners, finance teams or operations leaders.
Experience working in a fast-paced scale-up or a newly established sales team.
What success looks like:
In your first 90 days, you'll complete a structured onboarding programme covering Wise's products, sales methodologies, CRM tools and competitive landscape.
By month three, you'll be independently managing a high-volume pipeline, running effective discovery and qualification calls, and consistently progressing opportunities through the sales funnel.
Within six months, you'll be working towards full productivity, managing approximately 80 leads per month and consistently delivering against your revenue and customer activation targets.
You'll be expected to maintain strong CRM discipline, manage your time effectively and take ownership of the entire customer journey — from first conversation through to active transactions.
Most importantly, you'll contribute to building a repeatable, scalable sales process that helps more businesses discover and successfully adopt Wise.
Additional InformationFor everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
