The Role:
The Account Executive, West Coast (AE) works primarily with prospects in a defined territory. The ideal candidate will develop deep relationships at the leadership level within prospects’ organizations and is obsessed with finding and selling to new customers. The territory is primarily Western States in the US and potentially western provinces in Canada. The AE will focus on a set of Target Accounts within the Chemical and Nutraceutical industries with the possibility of some F&B and Pharmaceutical manufacturing verticals. Account sizes will vary, but with a specific focus in the Small to Medium (SMB) space. The AE will be a hunter and have experience building a territory from scratch while partnering with Marketing and the greater GTM team to execute a vertical market strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain a pipeline of opportunity adequate to manage to a specific quota
- Engage and provide significant input on strategy and execution of a go-to-market plan for ERP software in the Process Manufacturing space
- Drive deep relationships with executive and leadership-level personnel within prospect accounts
- Identify, track, and close opportunities for new business, within an assigned territory
- Serve as a customer advocate with relevant internal Datacor teams
- Coordinate internal Datacor resources across various teams to ensure customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue potential
- Travel expectations are 30-50% of the time including tradeshows, customer and prospect visits and internal meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Background in enterprise software/SaaS sales
- Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred)
- 3-5 years of sales experience, selling B2B software solutions in the SMB and large enterprise space
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to function independently
- Experience building and managing a territory
- Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Understanding of manufacturing concepts and software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large Chemical, Food & Beverage, Compressed Gas or other process manufacturing and distribution related verticals
- Experience selling ERP and/or MES software
- Experience selling to CFO’s, Presidents/owners, Plant and Operations Managers, Quality Assurance professional and other Manufacturing related roles
- Ideal candidate is located in California, or other western US state (Remote but near a major US city preferred)
