Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and open up new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a lot of work ahead. That gives you an unusual opportunity to help put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the teamThe Startup SaaS Platforms team works with European startups in one of Stripe’s must-win segments. SaaS platforms are companies that use Stripe to embed payments and make financial services a core part of their products, such as Shopify, Mindbody, and Lightspeed. For these companies, their partnership with Stripe is vital to the success of their businesses.
SaaS platforms are a global priority for Stripe, and our team finds and wins Stripe’s future strategic accounts in Europe. We partner with high-potential companies early and help them use Stripe’s solutions to better support their users, scale globally, and create new revenue streams by monetising payments and financial services.
What you’ll doWe’re hiring an Account Executive to win new business with pre-revenue and early-stage SaaS platform startups across the United Kingdom and Ireland. This is a new-logo role. Your job is to find the most promising founders building platforms today, win their business for Stripe before they choose another provider, and get them live with the right integration from day one.
You’ll work alongside our SaaS Platform Account Executives as the team’s dedicated hunter for the earliest stage of the market. You’ll own the pre-revenue and early-revenue segment end to end, from generating pipeline and handling inbound demand to closing deals and getting each new platform activated.
Early-stage platforms make their payments decisions early and rarely revisit them. They also often need several products from the start, including embedded payments, connected-account onboarding, payouts, and monetisation. Winning them early and selling the right solution gives Stripe a lasting position with the platforms that will scale fastest. This is a high-velocity sales role with short cycles, a high volume of opportunities, and plenty of competitive deals.
Responsibilities- Build and run your own pipeline. Prospect high-potential pre-revenue and early-stage SaaS platforms across the United Kingdom and Ireland, and turn inbound interest from early-stage platforms into qualified opportunities.
- Win new logos. Run fast, consultative sales cycles from discovery to close and win competitive evaluations against other payments providers.
- Sell the right solution from the start. Understand each founder’s business model and position the right Stripe Connect integration and payments monetisation strategy so that new platforms are set up to scale.
- Close and activate. Negotiate and close deals, then work with Solutions Architects, Product, Risk, and Operations to get new platforms live quickly. You’ll be measured on new business won and activated.
- Source new business through the ecosystem. Build relationships with founders, venture capital firms, accelerators, and startup communities across the United Kingdom and Ireland to create pipeline and grow Stripe’s presence among early-stage founders.
- Work with the SaaS Platform Account Executive team. Share market intelligence on emerging platforms and pass on accounts that have moved beyond the early stage so that each seller can focus on the opportunities where they can have the greatest impact.
- Bring what you learn from the market back to Product and go-to-market teams to sharpen how Stripe wins early-stage platforms.
You’re a self-starting hunter who enjoys finding and winning new business. You like working with founders, you’re comfortable leading technical conversations, and you can run many deals at once without compromising quality. You know how to qualify quickly, create urgency, and close. You’re competitive, resilient, and keen to build your skills in a fast-changing environment.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
