As an Account Executive - Pubsec, you will represent AltaML in connections with an established network of decision-makers in medium and large public sector and healthcare organizations primarily in western Canada. Working with sales, marketing, technical development, and customer solutions teams, your main goal is to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts by selling AI services and products specifically designed for the healthcare and public sectors. 

Your experience in selling Data & AI solutions will be crucial. You'll use this knowledge to show how AI can solve industry challenges, and help clients meet their strategic goals. Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and senior leader is essential for quickly building and growing a sales pipeline. A proven history of successful enterprise sales to executive and C-suite leaders is key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve revenue growth and meet yearly revenue targets for your portfolio.

  • Drive the development of new business and sales opportunities within your designated accounts and region.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, serving as the primary point of contact for sales activities within targeted accounts.

  • Contribute to the development of new processes, templates, and standards

  • Build and maintain a diverse portfolio of public sector and healthcare clients to establish sustainable, high-quality recurring revenue.

  • Advise clients on their AI/ML adoption journeys, recommending the best-fit solutions to meet their business needs and collaborating with internal teams to ensure our clients are delighted.

  • Demonstrate excellence in pipeline management and hygiene within sales and CRM tools.

  • Lead the development of contractual agreements and pricing strategies.

  • Identify and foster partnerships with hyperscalers, consultants, SI, and academic partners to support revenue growth and strengthen solution offerings.

What You Bring:

  • Passion for the impact AI can have within public sector and healthcare organizations.

  • 7+ years in the public sector and/or healthcare industries and/or enterprise B2B sales, ideally with a focus on professional services or AI applications..

  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams across the sales lifecycle, including discovery, executive advisory, solution architecture, and post-sales delivery.

  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas.

  • A demonstrated effort for keeping pace with how AI is and can be applied in the enterprise. Knowledge and consideration for how AI can be applied in the healthcare sector is an asset.

  • A basic understanding of privacy and/or data policy, particularly as it relates to the public sector and healthcare industries (e.g., FOIP, PIPEDA, PHIA, HIA), and how these considerations shape AI solution design and client conversations.
  • The adaptability and growth mindset essential to success in a fast-paced tech environment.

  • Superior communication, client relationship management, and negotiation  skills.

  • Experience in organizational change management is a plus.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with a keen ability to align AI solutions with healthcare-specific needs.

  • An established client network in healthcare or public sector that enables swift opportunity qualification and pipeline development is a significant asset.
