About the Position
We are in search of a driven, resourceful Account Executive on our Public Sector team to sell PolicyNote, CQ, and Fireside, our all-in-one constituent relationship management platform built for public officials and their staff. This role is a pure new-logo hunting position: you will focus exclusively on identifying, prospecting, and closing net-new congressional, state, and local government offices that do not yet use PolicyNote, CQ, or Fireside. About the Business Development Team
The Public Sector team is charged with landing and expanding FiscalNote’s presence across the public sector — congressional offices, state legislatures, and government agencies. The team works closely with Marketing to generate and qualify leads, with the Product team to stay current on our products’ evolving capabilities.

About You

You're a self-motivated, competitive sales professional who is energized by the hunt for new business. A team player, willing and enthusiastic to pitch in wherever necessary to support the broader sales organization. Poised and confident, you are both a skilled listener and a convincing presenter with an eye for detail and the polish to communicate at all levels, including with senior legislative staff. You are comfortable with a full-cycle sales process — prospecting, qualifying, demoing, negotiating, and closing — and you prefer data-driven pipeline management over guesswork.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000 per year, plus performance-based quarterly commission.
