Momence is a next-gen booking and communications platform for experience-based businesses, such as a yoga and pilates studios, gyms, dance schools, salons and spas, golf facilities, swim schools, etc. We help over 5,500 businesses with scheduling and payments, communication, and automation of their business backend. We also have a customer-facing Momence app, where hundreds of thousands of customers book their wellness experiences every month.

About the role

The Account Executive (AE) Manager in the APAC region will wear a couple hats, acting as APAC’s AE team leader, while supporting regional sales goals with their own book of business. Managing AEs while supporting quota attainment goals, this person will lead by example, coaching and motivating a high-performing sales team while setting an active example for revenue growth.

In addition to the day-to-day work of overseeing team performance, supporting ongoing team communication, providing feedback and coaching, and serving as the single point of contact between the team and the executive leadership, APAC’s AE Manager will be responsible for owning or impacting the following:

  • Achieving individual monthly sales quota while overseeing team productivity and performance
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Account Executives to meet and exceed sales targets; providing feedback and development through syncs, team stand-ups, 1:1 coaching, and effective asynchronous communication.
  • Monitoring metrics and KPIs to ensure success, implementing supportive action when needed
  • Acting as liaison between the APAC sales team and internal stakeholders to align priorities and resources
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive regional growth; adapting as the market demands; proactively identifying scalable solutions
  • Conducting live product demos, managing high-value client relationships, and closing key deals
  • Providing accurate forecasts and reports to senior leadership, transparently communicating pipeline health and team performance

This is a full time, fully remote and contracted position, for which we’re considering candidates residing in Sydney, Australia, able to support customers and their teammates in the APAC region. 

About you

Equal parts motivated and motivating, you’re energized by leading and supporting high-performing teams, but not ready to put down your own book of business just yet. You’re enthused to support a small AE team, bringing your own know-how, appropriate top-down transparency, and strategic sales savvy to improve mid-funnel processing and effectively and supportively coach on an individual and team level. Your direct reports rely on you to investigate opportunities for improvement, clear obstacles to success, and balance support and accountability to create a motivating, energizing atmosphere. Your leadership relies on you to provide clear forecasting and reporting, build transparency, and autonomously manage your team’s and your own performance.
If you’re an experienced senior-level individual contributor or leader in Account Executive/Management level sales, with a demonstrated knack for supportive people leadership, who’s keen to stay on the hunt to attain your own quota goals, we might just be a great fit!

What you should have

While we welcome experience from a wide range of career and industry backgrounds, all candidates should meet the following qualifications for consideration:

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in full-cycle sales, preferably within the tech industry or start-up environment
  • Experience leading a sales team, either as a Senior Account Executive or Manager/Lead
  • Proven proficiency in full-cycle sales, account management, and partnership development
  • Demonstrated track record of proactively leading, coaching, and mentoring productive and engaged teams to success against ambitious sales goals

We’ll be particularly excited if you also have

  • Experience in an early stage startups (Seed through Series B or similar)
  • Experience in the fitness or wellness industries
  • SaaS sales experience

About the interview process

This role includes a 4-step interview process, with 2.5-3 total hours of scheduled time meeting with Momence teammates. These interviews include:

  • A 30-minute screening with a Momence recruiter to learn more about your background and share more about the role
  • A 45-minute interview with Momence’s HR Partner to discuss your leadership skills
  • A 45-minute interview with Momence’s co-founder and CEO to dig in more on all things Sales strategy
  • A 30-minute peer interview with our AMER/EMEA AE Manager, to better understand unique dynamics of the team and role
