About The Role:

Andela is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our growing Managed Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with clients seeking software development, AI, and app development solutions. You will be a key player in expanding Andela's market presence and helping companies execute on their strategic priorities - while providing technical consultation and building trust with insights and honesty along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract signing.

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Andela's talent offerings, particularly in software development, AI, and app development, to effectively articulate our value proposition to prospective clients.

  • Clearly communicate how Andela's solutions can address client needs and pain points, demonstrating a deep understanding of technical requirements and project scopes.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations through a consultative lens and value-add behaviors.

  • Orchestrate seamless hand-offs from the SDR team, and conduct deep technical discovery to determine right-fit before bringing in any added resources.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Marketing, SDR, Delivery, Legal, Ops, and Talent Experience teams to ensure successful projects and continuous improvement in how we serve our customers.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data in our CRM system (Salesforce).

  • Actively participate in team meetings, sales training, and industry events to stay informed and continuously improve sales skills.

  • Take personal ownership of results and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Managed Solutions team and Andela - it’s a start-up within a well established company.

  • Partner with clients spanning Enterprise, mid-market, and SMB segments, gaining exposure to diverse business needs and sales cycles throughout your tenure at Andela.
     

Preferred Qualifications (Not All Required):

  • Proven track record of success in B2B technical sales roles, consistently exceeding sales targets.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience selling complex software development, AI products, or app development services/solutions.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and a genuine curiosity for emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and various technological stacks.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

  • Comfort in a startup environment, where moving fast and tight organization of time is required to thrive

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation:
This role offers a competitive pay mix with a 60/40 split:

  • Base Salary (U.S.): $85,000 - $90,000 annually

  • Variable Compensation (Commission at Target): $60,000 annually

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $145,000 - 150,000 annually
