The Construction Account Executive, Mid Market is responsible for growing sales in Architect, Engineer, and Owner accounts within OpenSpace business. This job is assigned a sales quota and performance is measured by meeting quarterly and annual targets by landing new logos, up-selling, add-on sales, and cross-selling. This position is remote and reports to the Mid Market Construction Overlay Sales Manager.

You'll be a trusted advisor for customers and a valuable team-member for your peers. You'll increase sales by expanding renewals and landing new logos. This is a rare opportunity to join OpenSpace's fast-growth construction business. You'll make an impact and bring much-needed technology to some of the regions largest Architects, Engineers, and Owners.

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal. We expect you to hunt and close.
  • Establish strong relationships with strategic contacts within a list of named accounts to retain and grow existing revenue and identify, propose, and close new opportunities
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships.
  • Ensure prospects have up-to-date knowledge of new products, features, roadmap and other any other updates
  • Actively manage daily responsibilities to develop territory and accounts such as cold calls, discovery meetings, sales presentations, demos, and proposals.
  • Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects to accurately forecast and hit sales goals 
  • Work with our customer success team to provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ dedication and create upsell opportunities 

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in transactional SaaS sales
  • Results-driven and have a consistent track record of exceeding quota
  • Analytical, detail-driven and a master multitasker
  • Experience demonstrating software and comfortability selling to all audiences
  • Experience in construction, specifically construction technology sales
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and other selling tools
  • Ability to think strategically, drive the sales process and to own issues
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • A desire to get to know and understand our customers and the construction industry
  • A healthy respect for deadlines: the ability to prioritize progress over perfection and the drive to see projects through to completion
  • Entrepreneurial and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • This role requires the ability to travel. The average travel  requirements of this role are up to 60%.

Salary expectations

Salary is one part of OpenSpace’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $186,200 and $249,500. OTE consists of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. The salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations including but not limited to CA, CO, NY, WA, NV, MD, CT and RI. The determination of this anticipated Salary involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: location of candidate, unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. Our anticipated Base Salary determination is just one component of OpenSpace’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes equity awards, paid time off, 401(k) retirement account, flexible time off, and paid parental leave. as well as other region-specific health and wellness benefits.
