The Account Executive, Group Sales, is responsible for generating and selling group ticket packages to clients within the public and tourism markets on a year-round basis. Success in this role requires a proactive, results-oriented approach with a strong focus on outbound prospecting, relationship building, and pipeline development.
This role develops new business through outbound prospecting, including high-volume outbound cold calling, face-to-face meetings, networking, and other business development activities. The Account Executive cultivates new relationships, grows existing accounts, identifies upsell opportunities, and generates referrals to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
This individual manages the full sales cycle from lead generation through ticket fulfillment while partnering closely with Guest Services to ensure an exceptional client experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve monthly and annual ticket sales and revenue goals established by management.
- Proactively generate new business through outbound prospecting while consistently meeting established outbound activity KPIs, including daily call and outreach targets.
- Develop, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through self-generated leads, client referrals, networking, and company-provided resources.
- Manage the complete sales process, including lead generation, reservations, invoicing, payment collection, and ticket fulfillment.
- Build, retain, and grow client relationships through consistent communication via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person appointments.
- Prepare for and conduct client meetings, site visits, and sales presentations to secure new and repeat business.
- Identify opportunities to upsell products and services that enhance the guest experience while increasing revenue.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client calls, inquiries, and emails.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records of all sales activities and customer interactions within the designated CRM.
- Collaborate with Guest Services and other internal departments to ensure a seamless client experience before, during, and after each group visit.
- Support group visits and special events as needed to ensure an exceptional client experience and strengthen client relationships.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, sales missions, and other business development opportunities as assigned.
- Perform off-site job responsibilities and travel up to 10%, or as required by management.
- Work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this role successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two (2)+ years of professional sales experience required; experience in attractions, sports, entertainment, hospitality, or group sales preferred.
- Previous ticket sales or ticketing operations experience is a plus.
- Experience with Ventrata or a similar ticketing and reservation platform is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales goals in a performance-driven environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated prospecting skills with the ability to build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and discipline in managing daily sales activities and prospecting efforts.
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound cold calls and consistently executing proactive prospecting activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across a diverse client base.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong guest service focus and ability to build effective working relationships with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms is preferred.
- Coachable, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Passion for building a successful career in attractions, sports, and entertainment sales.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Practice safe work habits and comply with all company safety policies, procedures, training requirements, and applicable regulations.
COMPENSATION
$26.44/ hour + a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
