About the role:

The Account Executive will be working on a key global client in UM International as part of the central media team, as well as liaising with local market teams around the world – including the US, China, Singapore, india, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.

Reporting into the Jr Manager, but working closely with the wider team, the Account Executive will act as a key support in all aspects of managing the day-to day running of the account. This includes the planning and buying of central media activations, campaign reporting and both internal team and local market co-ordination.

The client has many key stakeholders, as well as several global campaigns a year, so you will build strong project and stakeholder management skills in this role.

You will require the highest level of attention to detail and organisational skills due to the volume of moving parts involved in campaign execution and financial administration.

The account requires someone who can maintain and project a high level of professionalism and proactivity to anticipate client needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Client & Account Management

  • Gain the respect and trust of client by demonstrating knowledge, commitment and enthusiasm for the business;
  • Work with internal specialist units to deliver the best response/service to clients;
  • Create and maintain relationship with external agencies and key media partners;
  • Help ensure the smooth management of account finances and administrative tasks;
  • Have the ability to escalate issues quickly to the Accounts Managers and Director.

Planning

  • Support the team in all aspects of media planning & buying including Digital.
  • Understand the brief and help challenge the clients;
  • Understand and utilise Mediabrands’ planning tools;
  • Support the team in the implementation of campaigns – e.g. :
    • Request/check/deliver accurate timelines and ensuring on-time delivery
    • Deliver live campaign updates
  • Support the team in campaign reporting;
  • Support the team in the recommendation and implementation of campaign optimizations
  • Support the team in administrative and finance tasks

Coordination

  • Support the Communications Planner in local market coordination, driving innovation and brand stewardship regionally;
  • Support local markets in the implementation of their campaigns, ensuring that the strategy is followed and implemented;
  • Work closely with markets to deliver accurate & timely reports to clients (e.g. spend, competitive data etc.);
  • Challenge and question recommendations with the support of the Communications Planner to ensure the best possible delivery for clients.

About You:

  • Competent in Excel, PPT, Word and Outlook;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills;
  • Time management and organisation skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the media landscape in the UK, especially across digital;
  • High level of numeracy with a particular ability to analyse and interrogate numbers and produce compelling arguments;
  • Curious and inquisitive individual with an open, can-do attitude;
  • Dedicated, diligent and care in delivery;
  • Have a strong desire to learn and develop your media skills.
