Account Executive, Digital & Social Strategy
Location: Chicago, Detroit, or Minneapolis
Do you live for the "For You Page" and know exactly why a post goes viral before it even hits the mainstream? We are seeking a social-savvy, high-energy executor to join our Webby and Shorty Award-winning Midwest Digital & Social Team as an Account Executive. This isn't a role for someone who just scrolls; we need a "student of the game" who is hungry to learn the strategic "why" behind award-winning work.
Joining a team with massive momentum, you will be a proactive doer who can spot a trending audio clip one hour and help draft a data-backed performance report the next. You will serve as the connective tissue across our hybrid PR, creative, and paid media teams—ensuring our day-to-day execution is flawless, timely, and always culturally relevant.
Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day digital and social deliverables, including the management of content calendars, community engagement, ad buys, and publishing across platforms.
- Support the development of digital ecosystems by conducting research and gathering insights that inform social-first strategies.
- Act as a reliable and polished point of contact for internal teams, ensuring project timelines are met and assets are delivered to a high standard.
- Monitor social listening and data tools to identify emerging trends, "human truths," and reactive opportunities for brands.
- Assist in the integration of PR, creative, and paid media workstreams to ensure a unified and effective digital presence for our clients.
- Actively experiment with and apply emerging AI tools and digital platforms to increase productivity and creative output.
- Handle essential account administration duties, including status reports, meeting recaps, and tracking project budgets.
- Stay in the know about platform updates and algorithm shifts, sharing findings with the broader team to keep our work ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment (strong internships count!) with a focus on social media or digital marketing.
- A deep passion for internet culture and a native-level understanding of platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social spaces.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to draft crisp social copy and clear internal updates that are error-free and client-ready.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with high attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset—someone who asks smart questions, seeks feedback, and anticipates the next step without constant direction.
- Proficiency in basic social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social) and a desire to learn advanced AI-driven workflows.
- Previous work portfolio or examples of social media work preferred but not required.
Salary range is $50,000-$60,000. The salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and dependent upon the workplace.

What We Do
1400+ People. 3 Continents. 33 Offices. We are a global integrated marketing agency transforming and inspiring the world of communications every day. A LETTER FROM PETER FINN: DECEMBER 2011. FINN PARTNERS WAS BORN. After 11 years serving as co-CEO of an historic agency that carried my father’s name— and mine!—and after 30+ years of working at the firm, I wanted to build something different, bold, meaningful and amazing for clients, our colleagues and the community. "Amazing" was, and is, for me an important word. I imagined we could be "amazing" every day, knowing this is a goal not always achieved but always pursued. A place where talented people could gather and do big things for clients as well as make a difference to the communities important to us. WE LAUNCHED WITH A GROUP WHO SHARED A VISION. This was to be a "new" agency model, driven by a collaborative spirit. We asked, "Can we bind our 60-year legacy to the energy and speed of today’s hi-tech world?" We had $24 million in fees at our founding. Today, we have more than $85 million in fees, over 700 colleagues and 18 offices across three continents. Our Founding Managing Partners, highly respected colleagues who took the leap with me from our former agency, have been joined by the principals of other great agencies that became Finn Partner companies. So many other talented individuals are with us, too, intrigued by the idea of doing amazing things in an amazing workplace community. WE’VE MADE OUR MARK QUICKLY. Finn Partners has been named “Best New Agency,” “Best PR Agency to Work for in North America” and“Best Mid-Sized Agency of the Year” three times. Now, we’re one of the world’s largest agencies. WE ARE A YOUNG AGENCY. We share the genes of a respected agency that pioneered today’s integrated communications. But we are not them. We are unique. We are ourselves. We are focused on the future, building that future during each amazing day.
