Account Executive, Social & Cultural Strategy - Content (Film/Television/Streaming)
The Role
- Daily Execution: Own the day-to-day execution for a roster of film, television, and streaming clients. You are responsible for active media outreach, securing impactful placements, and identifying creative windows where our projects can authentically join the cultural conversation.
- Modern Storytelling: Draft and execute creative pitches, press materials, and digital-first content. You understand how to tailor a project’s voice to fit different platforms, from traditional entertainment outlets to emerging newsletters and social communities.
- Creator & Media Authority: Pitch and place stories across a hybrid landscape of traditional media, digital outlets, and creator platforms. You leverage a growing list of relationships with journalists, tastemakers, and digital storytellers to secure impactful opportunities.
- Trend & Digital Intelligence: Act as the team’s eyes and ears on the digital zeitgeist. You identify cultural trends and social moments that move the needle, translating social listening and digital insights into actionable strategies for your clients.
- Account Stewardship: Manage the essential foundation of your accounts. You own the agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and media lists, ensuring they are always meticulous, up-to-date, and client-ready.
- Premiere & Event Support: Provide critical support for press junkets, red carpet premieres, and festival screenings. You own the ground game: managing talent schedules, wrangling media on-site, and ensuring the details of an activation are executed with excellence.
- Relationship Driven: You recognize that the entertainment business is built on trust and integrity. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, talent reps, and the media—prioritizing professional poise in every interaction.
Who You Are:
- The Cultural Enthusiast: You have 2–3 years of experience in PR or communications, with a focus on film and television. You have a proven track record of securing results and managing the moving parts of a high-pressure account. You know exactly who is shaping culture across content, entertainment, art, fashion, music, and tech.
- Digitally Fluent: You live on social media and understand the creator economy. You know which platforms are driving tune-in right now and can translate that knowledge into a smart pitch or partnership idea.
- The Modern Storyteller: You have a well-rounded understanding of the modern media landscape and how earned, owned, and paid media all intersect. You can look at a trend report or a social listening dashboard and know exactly what the next move should be.
- A Tenacious Pitcher: You are a strong writer and a persistent pitcher. You know how to leverage your relationships to bring move-the-needle opportunities to your clients while maintaining a calm, solution-oriented demeanor in fast-moving environments.
- High EQ: You possess high EQ and situational awareness. You can communicate effectively with senior staff, handle last-minute talent or client requests with ease, and maintain a calm, solution-oriented attitude.
- A Strong, Fast Writer: You are a concise and creative writer. Whether it is a 140-character pitch or a deep-dive briefing note for a director, your writing is sharp, persuasive, and error-free.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You love a good brainstorm and aren't afraid to suggest a new platform or a bold story idea. You have an innate curiosity about how entertainment is evolving and where it is going next.
