You will be Carta’s first Account Executive in Hong Kong, serving as the face of the company across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Greater China, Japan, and Korea - this is a true "Founder-AE" environment. While you will be the sole representative in your time zone, you are backed by a global market leader that is the gold standard for equity management.
You’ll act as a strategic bridge, collaborating cross-functionally with our global Product and Marketing teams to serve as the "voice of the region," ensuring our offerings are tuned to beat local incumbents and meet the specific needs of the North Asian market.
The Problems You’ll Solve- Building a Category, Not Just a Pipeline: You aren’t just closing deals; you are educating a market. You will solve the challenge of establishing Carta as the premier choice in a region where competitors often lead with price.
- Defining the GTM Strategy: You will build and execute the go-to-market strategy for North Asia from scratch, identifying high-growth hubs and tailoring our value proposition to local nuances.
- Creating a Referral Engine: You’ll solve the "cold start" problem by developing deep relationships with "centers of influence"—top-tier VC firms, PE funds, accelerators, and law firms—to create a sustainable inbound engine.
- Navigating Complexity: You will manage the end-to-end sales process for diverse clients, from seed-stage startups to late-stage enterprises requiring sophisticated Equity Administrative Services (EAS).
- Positioning the "Carta Premium": You will articulate why our institutional-grade compliance, benchmarking data (CTC), and global scalability are essential for founders planning the journey from seed round to a global IPO.
- The Entrepreneurial Seller: You have 5–8 years of experience in SaaS sales (FinTech or LegalTech preferred) and have successfully navigated the "early hire" phase in a new market before.
- Regional Navigator: You have a deep understanding of North Asian business cultures. You are fluent in English, and fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a significant advantage for this territory.
- Master Networker: You don’t just cold call; you build community. You are comfortable walking into a room of VC partners or law firm associates and establishing immediate credibility.
- Strategic Closer: You are adept at navigating multi-stakeholder deals involving Founders, CFOs, and HR leaders.
- Resilient & Resourceful: You thrive in ambiguity. You are motivated, rather than intimidated, by the challenge of being the sole representative in your region and want your fingerprints all over Carta’s North Asian success story.
