The Role

The Partnership team at CNET Group, a part of Red Ventures, challenges traditional partnership structures every day, with programs and opportunities that converge brand and performance marketing. We're looking to grow our team with a Account Executive (Partnerships) who will help us develop and build relationships with top tier clients / agency partners to CNET/ZDNET from a tech brand to an industry leader across all verticals, as we continue reaching new audiences.

You'll join our portfolio of Media & Commerce businesses - CNET and ZDNet - and you'll have the opportunity to create our new messaging for potential partners and build relationships from the ground up with the support of a talented integrated marketing team and an operations/support team. 

This will be a hybrid role with in-office expectations on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week out of our NYC office.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a territory and sales quota, particularly focused on growing new partners and cultivating existing business in key industry verticals and categories
  • Develop account and territory strategies for long-term development and revenue growth
  • Generate new sales leads
  • Act as a business specialist on behalf of your clients - strategically developing digital and mixed media solutions to suit their objective
  • Establish and foster relationships with clients by conducting a high volume of face-to-face calls and meetings with agencies and clients
  • Prioritize and lead to ensure proper account management both internally and externally
  • Establish oneself as a thought leader within the digital community and evangelize Red Venture’s unique positioning within the marketplace
  • Ability to stay ahead of the curve on marketplace trends relating to their clients as well as the digital industry

What We're Looking For:

  • Sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team, goal oriented environment
  • 3-5 years of proven advertising sales experience with at least 4+ years in the interactive/digital space; experience working key endemic / non-endemic category clients / agencies
  • Cultivate and leverage deep client relationships across all categories
  • Full knowledge of the digital space – programmatic, sponsorships, social, custom, you’ve mastered it all!
  • Have a strong desire to win and grow as digital ad sales professional
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Ability to manage stress well, and juggle multiple account challenges at once
  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent training and experience
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation

  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $131,250-$235,000 
    • The above compensation range is comprised of a base + target sales incentive. It is all-inclusive.
    • Note: actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
