Responsibilities:
- Play a meaningful role in client service, spanning account management, media relations, trend monitoring, research, planning, and more.
- Support on multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence – this includes creating media materials to support client campaigns.
- Understand key client information including business strategy, industry news, products and services, key customers, and competitors.
- Research, outline, write, edit, and proofread materials, specifically pitches, media lists, product key messages, fact sheets, talk tracks, media briefing documents and more.
- Build and foster ongoing relationships with key media across verticals.
- Support reactive and proactive earned media relations outreach including but not limited to story-mining, development of pitches and media lists, media monitoring and tracking, staffing interviews, briefing spokespersons and more. Existing relationships with consumer media is a plus.
- Support in the execution of press trips, media events and brand activations including securing attendees, staffing events, and preparing recap reports.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and an interest in creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrate an understanding of research techniques, including analysis of media coverage and online conversation (volume and tone).

Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in the retail and fashion industries, products and brands.
- Strong research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop meaningful contacts/relationships
- Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to develop traditional and digital media strategies
- Previous agency or retail brand experience
- Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills, along with the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines
- Eagerness to apply cultural happenings and trends to the thinking they are doing on behalf of client
- Thrive in a fast-paced, flexible, ever-changing environment
- Are detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, capable of driving results, and working with a sense of urgency
- Can work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Want to learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry
