We offer industry-leading experience in captive program design and management, with captive professionals and offices throughout all the world’s major captive domiciles. Marsh Management Services Cayman is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Cayman office.

Account Executive, Assistant Vice President

What can you expect?

The Account Executive develops and fosters long-term strategic relationships with a portfolio of clients, and is responsible for retaining, servicing and expanding key accounts. He or she is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of a portfolio of captive clients. These consist of single parent captives, group captives, insurance companies and reinsurance companies, writing property and casualty business and / or long-term business. He or she develops solutions for client needs, responds to client questions and supports the creation of products and programs.

We will count on you to:

  • Serves as a client contact and responds to complex client needs and questions to improve client experience

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of changing market conditions and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients

  • Develop and foster long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients

  • Develop strong working relationships with other service providers and regulators

  • Be responsible for the quality of the day-to-day services provided to clients

  • Perform technical review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS

  • Supervise client’s financial audit process with auditors

  • Perform functions pertaining to compliance by clients with regulatory requirements

  • Participate in and coordinates client meetings, including presenting at Board Meetings  

  • Partner with Marsh colleagues in the preparation of licence applications for new insurance companies and develop relationships with prospects and new clients

  • Partner with Marsh colleagues in relation to strategic reviews of captives

What you need to have: 

  • Internationally recognized professional accounting qualification with public accounting experience (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CA etc.)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with an insurance manager

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present at Board of Directors at meetings in both Cayman and elsewhere (requiring travel outside office hours)

  • Experience in relation to final reporting under US GAAP and IFRS 

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team, willingness and ability to work outside regular office hours

What makes you stand out:

  • Knowledge of Cayman Islands insurance acts, regulations, rules and regulatory statements of guidance is preferred

  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
