Role Overview:
As an Account Executive - AI Specialist, you’ll play a key role in developing new business within the AI and machine learning ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, running discovery, and supporting the close of strategic deals. This role is ideal for someone who has cut their teeth in sales development or infrastructure sales and is ready to take on more ownership in the sales cycle.
What You’ll Do:
- Own top-of-funnel and mid-funnel sales motion, from prospecting to qualified discovery to proposal.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies targeting AI companies, model builders, and infrastructure buyers.
- Build and manage a pipeline of early-stage AI/ML prospects and work them through a defined sales process.
- Collaborate closely with sales leadership, solution engineers, and marketing to shape messaging and customer strategy.
- Lead initial product demos and discovery calls; support evaluations and POCs where needed.
- Stay current on trends in AI infrastructure (e.g., GPUs, distributed training, object storage, etc.) and adapt messaging accordingly.
- Track activities and opportunities in our CRM, ensuring clear visibility and strong forecasting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a business development, sales development, or AE role—ideally in AI, compute, cloud, or storage infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders in complex sales environments.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating on messaging, outreach, and positioning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Driven, organized, and hungry to grow into a full-cycle enterprise AE role.
Nice to Have:
- Experience selling to technical audiences: ML engineers, infrastructure leads, CTOs.
- Exposure to AI/ML training workflows, GPU clusters, or storage-heavy workloads.
