The Enterprise Account Director is responsible for owning, growing, and retaining a portfolio of strategic enterprise clients with an annual book of business. This role focuses on deep account penetration, long-term relationship management, and driving revenue expansion through consultative selling and value-based solutions
What You’ll Do
- Focusing on primarily selling IDC's Research & Data but also Custom Solutions and Events portfolio to clients in the technology sector,
- Managing existing accounts by maintaining a strong relationship with clients, negotiating renewals as well as new contracts and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth,
- Acquiring new business opportunities in the technology sector through networking, research, and prospecting, and driving the entire sales cycle from initial customer contact to closing the deal,
- Customizing proposals based on customer requirements and meeting budgeted sales targets,
- Accurately reporting the sales pipeline in the CRM (Salesforce) and local market intel/inputs to grow the business based on trends and requirements.
- Collaborating with IDC teams consisting of Analysts, Consultants and other Sales professionals.
What You Bring
- Hunter Mentality: Self-driven, results-oriented, and skilled at pipeline generation and strategic territory management within complex stakeholder environments.
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a proven track record in strategic account management and expansion.
- Strong executive presence, relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence at the C-suite level.
- Proven experience in managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting and direct engagement.
- Strong passion for acquiring new logos with a successful track record of onboarding major clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a remote team environment.
- BA/BS level degree or equivalent
- Bi-lingual English + German
- Strong presentation, writing, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
- Self-starter with good organization and time management skills; able to work at fast pace, to achieve targets & business goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work across IDC local business units worldwide and within IDC Global Solutions
- Very strong presentation skills to senior level executives
- Must have the ability to travel from time to time
