The Role:
- Holistic Talent Leadership: Lead account teams in developing and executing 360-degree communications strategies for high-profile talent. You move beyond traditional publicity to incorporate brand integration, influencer strategy, and digital innovation into every campaign.
- Strategic Client Counsel: Serve as a trusted advisor to talent and their management teams. You provide unprompted fresh ideas, manage complex client issues, and navigate stressful situations with thoughtful, calm counsel.
- Media Authority: Leverage an elite network of contacts at Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, and beyond. You are a strategist who still pitches, knowing how to land a career-defining feature or manage a chaotic press line at a major premiere.
- Project & Account Management: Lead accounts from start to finish, ensuring goals are met with military precision. You manage the backend of a full roster of clients (average 4–6) while ensuring every request is handled efficiently.
- Integrated Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and bi-coastal teams to execute complex accounts. You are excited by the intersection of tech, lifestyle, and entertainment and know how to bridge those worlds for your clients.
- Mentorship & Team Growth: Train and mentor junior staff on the inner workings of talent PR and professional execution. You are a career-builder who takes pride in motivating your team and fostering a "we, not me" culture.
- Business Development: Identify organic growth opportunities within your roster and lead the creation of sophisticated new business proposals.
- The Relationship Standard: You understand that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, clients, and the media—prioritizing trust, integrity, and total confidentiality above all else.
Who You Are:
- The Industry Veteran: 8+ years of experience in an agency or entertainment setting, with at least 2 years of direct people management. You have a proven track record of securing placements that move the needle for a talent's career.
- High EQ: You possess an elite level of situational awareness. You have the executive presence to command a room and the judgment to know when to take a step back, maintaining total composure around high-profile individuals.
- A Culturally Fluent Strategist: Your media diet is diverse and constant. You understand the nuances of the entertainment landscape and how digital strategy and brand partnerships humanize talent in 2026.
- An Exceptional Communicator: You are a fast, persuasive writer and a verbal storyteller who can build deep trust with clients and media alike.
- Highly Organized & Scrappy: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and take genuine pride in "ver-delivering on every project.
- Flexible: Ready to work select evenings/weekends and travel to bring our clients’ biggest moments to life.
Skills Required
- At least 8 years of experience working in an agency setting or relevant industry
- Managed a team with direct oversight for at least 2 years
- Strong writing skills - persuasive, concise, creative, and quick
- Growing list of relationships with entertainment media
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects
