Williams Lea is hiring for an Account Director, Sr. for our New York City office to work Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm!
Pay: $166,250 - $175,000/hour

As an integral member of the company’s leadership team, this position is accountable for various financial business support services, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial audits and record keeping for Williams Lea.
Job qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of eight years’ experience, ten years preferred, leading accounting and finance functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial audits and other financial business support services
- A recognized leader and manager of people in a national and/or global, customer service focused work environment
- Experienced leader, providing accounting guidance to senior leadership
- Established, independent financial acumen to navigate complex accounting applications and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with a service-minded approach towards the business; calm and confident, even in stressful situations
- MS Office proficient, financials systems software acumen (for example: PeopleSoft)

Job duties

- *Oversees accounts payable and receivable, as well as all requisite reporting, analysis and functionality of these and related accounting service business areas
- *Leads team members to conduct accounting closing processes and procedures, like balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounting results for Williams Lea Tag’s businesses
- *Leads team members to consolidate and report accurate accounting results monthly and/or in accordance with established timelines or other ad hoc needs
- * Leads team members to effectively and innovatively manage timing and methodology for accounting and financial reporting as related to the Williams Lea Tag business
- *Effectively manages team members toward accounting team-goals and in accordance with established management practices
- Oversees monthly, quarterly, annual audit process – may include working with team members and own manager to develop templates and coordinate review sessions with appropriate business partners
- Uses own expert experience to review and approve accounting and related functions processes and administration procedures
- Successfully illustrates accounting services analysis, meaning, and impacts to audiences of varying financial sophistication; may conduct training for business partners
- Guides business partners with strategic decisions to understand, implement and sustain internal accounts payables and receivables; provides accounting assessment tools and metrics
- Understands and provides accounting guidance across complex multi-service solutions for business partners
- Works closely with business partners to develop effective relationships, and drive innovation in accounting administrative procedures that reduce costs, improve efficiencies and/or enhance client or vendor relationships
- Contributes to the training, mentoring and/or development of all requisite finance team members
