What you will do:

The Account Director, will play a critical role in the expansion and growth of our digital signage business within the Retail vertical. This individual will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving the overall sales strategy. This role will also focus on leading an existing portfolio, including 2-3 core accounts ‐ providing client management, strategic guidance, financial accountability, and relationship development with a strong focus on delivering exceptional digital experiences along with account and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the technology or digital signage industry and/or selling to or managing Retail Business accounts and/or knowledge of the Retail Media industry. Must be highly collaborative, strategic, and results-driven, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

This is a hybrid position. Must have valid driver's license, access to vehicle and travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development Strategy & Execution

  • Support the development and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify new opportunities in target markets. This includes cold lead generation, market analysis, identifying potential clients and partners, and developing outreach strategies that align with the company’s growth goals.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Identify and engage with potential clients, driving lead generation and nurturing relationships through the pipeline/sales cycle. Act as a key contact for high-value clients, providing consultative services to address their needs and build long-term partnerships.

Manage Strategic Account Relationships

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with C-suite and senior executives at client organizations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by deeply understanding clients' business goals, challenges, and digital needs.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, expanding service offerings to meet evolving client needs.

Support responses to RFPs, RFIs and General Capabilities Presentations

  • Supports Executive Director on all necessary opportunity responses. Leverages client, vertical, product/service and competitive knowledge combined with support from internal teams to ensure CDM’s value proposition is communicated effectively.

Manage & Coach Team Members

  • Lead, mentor and coach a team of 1-2 team members
  • Provide strategic vision for BD pipeline and strategic account growth

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure that business development efforts align with overall company goals. Provide insights into market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to help shape product and service offerings.

Revenue & Sales Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, tracking performance against business goals. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress towards targets and adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue objectives.

Education & Certification

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Advanced or specialized degree in Marketing and/or MBA
  • 4-6 years of successful experience as part of a Sales team, including pipeline management
  • People & Project Management experience
