Position Overview
The Account Coordinator, Media and Access Services supports the successful delivery of media and accessibility services for assigned clients, with a focus on fulfillment, subtitling, captioning, audio description, localization, and media operations. Working closely with clients, internal operational teams, and external vendors, the Account Coordinator helps coordinate projects, monitor schedules, manage client requests, and ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in media localization, accessibility services, content operations, and client management.
Position Responsibilities
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
- Support clients with project requests, status updates, and delivery inquiries.
- Help manage client expectations and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Coordinate projects related to subtitling, captioning, audio description, localization, media processing, and content fulfillment.
- Work with internal production, quality control, operations, and accessibility teams to ensure projects progress as planned.
- Help identify and resolve project-related issues to support on-time delivery.
- Ensure client specifications and requirements are accurately communicated and followed.
- Support the assignment and coordination of freelance linguists and external vendors.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Assist with purchase orders, billing preparation, invoicing activities, and project reporting.
- Support revenue tracking and cost monitoring activities.
- Ensure data is accurately entered into company systems.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets as required.
- Support process improvement initiatives and workflow efficiencies.
- Continue developing knowledge of accessibility, localization, and media workflows.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cinema/film, as well as:
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, additional languages are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Translation, Linguistics, Media, Communications, Audiovisual Studies, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience or internship in media, localization, accessibility services, subtitling, captioning, content operations, or project coordination.
- Knowledge, experience or internship of audiovisual translation, media quality control, subtitling, accessibility, vendor management, media fulfillment workflow, billing and other financial admin.
