Responsibilities:
- Compile and maintain accurate daily records of financial transactions, including cash, bank, and mobile money inflows and outflows from customers, sales agents, and partners.
- Conduct daily and weekly mobile money reconciliations by matching system data, agent reports, and platform statements, promptly identifying and escalating variances or suspicious activity.
- Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations to verify alignment between accounting records, bank statements, and physical cash counts.
- Track and allocate PAYG solar payments, customer top-ups, subsidies, and grants with precision by product, project, county, and funding source (e.g., donor vs. commercial).
- Prepare monthly financial summaries covering revenue, expenses, receivables, and agent collections to support management reporting and strategic planning.
- Maintain a well-organized, audit-ready repository of financial documentation, including receipts, vouchers, mobile money confirmations, and agent reports.
- Assist the Finance Manager in identifying fraud risks, pricing inconsistencies, and compliance gaps, and support enforcement of Eco-Energy’s financial and mobile money policies.
