The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Account Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will focus on both direct and indirect tax matters while also support the annual audits.  The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, support audit activities, and contribute to the overall accuracy of financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to develop their skills in tax and audit functions. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

What You’ll Do

Assist in the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Support the analysis of tax-related transactions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors during audit engagements.

Prepare and organize documentation required for audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information.

Assist in addressing auditor inquiries and implementing recommended improvements.

Analyze financial data related to tax and audit functions, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.

Prepare reports and summaries related to tax compliance and audit findings for management review.

Support the finance team in identifying opportunities for process improvements in tax compliance and audit readiness.

Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and compliance in tax and audit processes.

Work closely with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of tax and audit activities into overall financial reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for tax compliance and audits.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related with minimum 3 years of working experience in Core Finance/Accounting.

Basic understanding of direct and indirect tax regulations and accounting principles.

Familiarity with audit processes and requirements is a plus.  Prior work experience in an audit firm will be highly regarded.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems is a plus).

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the finance department
