The Leidos Office of Technology (OOT) is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Accelerator Operations Lead to help align our highly skilled workforce with enterprise demand. This individual will play a pivotal role in translating demand signals from across Leidos—especially within the research and technology integration domains—into actionable staffing and capability plans that drive innovation, accelerate delivery, and maximize the reuse of technical solutions.
The Accelerator Operations Lead will develop a deep understanding of the golden bolts, leveraging that knowledge to match over 200 technologists and researchers with opportunities that advance corporate and customer missions across Sectors. This role requires both strategic insight and operational precision—balancing near-term execution needs with long-term capability planning. The successful candidate will serve as a connective hub across Accelerators and sector technology teams, ensuring alignment between enterprise priorities, emerging technical capabilities, and awesome talent to deliver results together.
Responsibilities:
•Demand Signal Lifecycle Management: Identify, track, and interpret enterprise “demand signals” originating from Sectors for growth engines, campaigns, captures, and programs to inform capability and team alignment. Identify and track outcomes including reusable capabilities, business impact, and follow-up efforts resulting from these efforts.
•Operational Planning & Reporting: Establish and maintain metrics around resource allocation, skill utilization, and demand fulfillment; provide visibility into workforce trends and emerging capability gaps. Contribute to long-range workforce planning, anticipating shifts in technical demand areas (e.g., AI/ML, cyber, autonomy) and recommending proactive resource development or recruitment.
•Portfolio Understanding: Develop a comprehensive, evolving view of Leidos technology priorities—spanning sector portfolios, Office of Technology initiatives, and Accelerator roadmaps—to anticipate workforce and capability needs.
•Collaboration with Accelerator Leads: Engage deeply with Accelerators to understand ongoing capability development, the resource profiles required to bring those capabilities to maturity, and potential reuse opportunities.
•Cross-functional Communication: Coordinate communications between OOT, sector teams, and enterprise functions to ensure transparency and alignment.
•Continuous Improvement: Develop processes, tooling, and dashboards to make demand-supply alignment more data-driven, repeatable, and scalable.
Basic Qualifications:
•Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years with a master’s degree (additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
•Strategic and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources (R&D portfolios, project roadmaps, staffing models) into actionable plans.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven success in engaging across technical, research, and operational teams to align goals and resources.
•Technical Acumen: Familiarity with key technology domains such as AI, software systems, data analytics, cyber, and related technology areas.
•Communication & Influence: Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences.
•Organizational Expertise: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
•Tools & Methodologies: Experience with project and resource management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or comparable systems)
At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.”
If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.
