What You'll Do
- Architect Autonomy and Control Frameworks: Lead system architecture development for autonomous flight systems, including Flight Control, Autonomy, and High-Level Task Planning.
- GNC Software Integration: Design, implement, and integrate C++ product software for guidance, navigation, and control modules. Ensure portability and scalability across diverse aerial platforms, overseeing the transition from algorithmic design to embedded deployment.
- Simulation Infrastructure: Champion the development of simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test infrastructure.
- Verification Pipelines: Develop extensive C++, Python, and MATLAB-based verification infrastructure to automatically validate our software.
What You Need
- 5+ years of professional experience in autonomy, robotics systems, or GNC software development
- Strong knowledge of control theory, flight dynamics, and embedded systems
- Proven ability to run and analyze SIL and HIL simulations
- Strong Linux troubleshooting and systems-level debugging experience
- Experience debugging software that interfaces with hardware, sensors, networks, or distributed systems
- Experience writing data processing and visualization tools in C++
- BS in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; MS or specialized experience in autonomous systems preferred
- Expert proficiency in C++ for real-time embedded software and experience with robotics frameworks (e.g., ROS); familiarity with autopilot integration (e.g., Pixhawk)
