Responsible for driving the execution and impact of Pearl Street Academy’s leadership development programs.  This role has oversight for assigned curriculum, development initiatives and leader cohorts within the academy and leverages Academy Trainers to deliver high-quality training. The Academy Manager spends time in the field, validating the effectiveness of training on behavior and business results, and partners with field leaders to continuously improve learning experiences. Responsibilities
  • Assume full ownership and accountability for leadership development programs and curricula across all lines of business, ensuring they are strategically aligned with organizational priorities and consistently meet Pearl Street Academy’s standards.
  • Leverage Academy Trainers to deliver engaging, effective training experiences across stores, plants, distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and the Store Support Center.
  • Spend time in the field observing, coaching, and validating the impact of training on leader behavior and operational results.
  • Collaborate with field leaders, e.g. Division executives, District Managers, Corporate executives and business owners, Supply chain leadership, to assess needs, gather feedback, and drive adoption of Academy offerings.
  • Regularly assess program effectiveness through data, feedback, and outcomes, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to business owners and Talent Management and Development leadership to ensure continued alignment and impact. 
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions as needed, maintaining certification in foundational leadership development content.
  • Support the development and certification of Academy Trainers, ensuring high standards and consistency.
  • Champion inclusive learning practices and ensure accessibility for all associates.
  • Travel up to 50% to field locations and business sites.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications

Minimum

  • 3+ years of experience in training, leadership development, or field operations.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and credibility with field teams.
  • Experience facilitating training and coaching leaders.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to field locations.
  • Passion for elevating leadership and driving business results through people.

Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Education, Business, or related field.
  • Certification in facilitation or instructional design.
  • Experience managing training programs or projects.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
