About the Role 

EF International Language Campus Sydney is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Academics Coordinator to join our Academic team.

We are looking for someone who is organised, responsible, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment. This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Academic Department and ensuring an outstanding learning experience for our students. 


About EF Sydney 

Located in Chippendale, close to central station, EF International Language Campus (Sydney) welcomes students from all over the world to improve their English while experiencing Australian culture. 

Throughout the year, students of different nationalities and ages join our campus, creating a vibrant and multicultural learning environment. 

As an Academics Coordinator, you will support both the academic and administrative functions of the school, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of classes while working closely with teachers, students, and the wider school team. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Academic team.  
  • Assist with scheduling classes, examinations, meetings, and academic events.  
  • Maintain attendance records, student files, and academic documentation.  
  • Act as a key point of contact between students, teachers, and school administration.  
  • Support student assessments, exam administration, result collection, and academic reporting.  
  • Respond to student enquiries regarding their academic progress, timetables, and course-related matters.  
  • Teach English classes when required.  

About You 

We're looking for someone who has: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Education, Administration, Languages, Business, or a related field. 
  • TESOL qualification (e.g. CELTS or Certificate IV in TESOL) 
  • Excellent English communication skills (additional languages are an advantage).  
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.  
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.  
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  
  • A positive, student-focused approach and the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues. 
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.  
  • A commercial mindset and commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience.
