▪ Coordinate daily academic operations, including master scheduling, course sequencing, classroom assignments, and academic calendars aligned with training and travel schedules.
▪ Oversee curriculum implementation across all grade levels, ensuring alignment with Florida standards, college-preparatory benchmarks, and NCAA Eligibility Center core-course requirements.
▪ Monitor student progress through regular grade audits, progress reports, and academic performance reviews; design and supervise intervention and tutoring plans for students requiring support.
▪ Administer standardized testing programs (SAT, ACT, TOEFL) and coordinate testing logistics for traveling student-athletes.
Student-Athlete Support & Compliance▪ Serve as the Academy's liaison to the NCAA Eligibility Center; maintain accurate core-course lists, transcripts, and initial-eligibility documentation for all student-athletes.
▪ Support international students with credential evaluation, English-language support coordination, and compliance with SEVIS/F-1 visa academic requirements.
▪ Collaborate with the college placement team on transcript preparation, recommendation processes, and university admissions support, including pathways to Saint Leo University.
Faculty & Partnership Coordination▪ Support the recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and evaluation of teaching faculty and tutors.
▪ Facilitate collaboration with Saint Leo University for dual-enrollment opportunities, shared academic resources, and faculty development.
▪ Communicate proactively with parents and guardians regarding academic expectations, progress, and concerns, including families in international time zones.
Administration & Reporting▪ Maintain accurate academic records, enrollment data, and reporting in the Academy's student information system.
▪ Assist the Executive Director with accreditation processes, program evaluation, budgeting for academic resources, and strategic planning.
▪ Uphold and model the Benedictine core values of Saint Leo University in all aspects of Academy life.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
▪ Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
▪ Experience in teaching, academic advising, or academic administration at the secondary or postsecondary level.
▪ Working knowledge of NCAA initial-eligibility requirements and college-preparatory curriculum standards.
▪ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills. ▪ Proficiency with student information systems, learning management systems, and Microsoft Office.
▪ Successful completion of Level 2 background screening as required by Florida law for personnel working with minors.
▪ Experience with Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) graduation requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS▪ Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline.
▪ Experience in a boarding school, sports academy, or residential student-athlete environment.
▪ Experience supporting international students, including English-language learners and F-1 visa holders.
▪ Florida professional educator certification and/or school leadership credential.

▪ Experience with online curriculums and Student Information Systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS
This is an on-site position. The Academic Coordinator should expect occasional evening and weekend responsibilities associated with boarding school life, athletic competition schedules, testing administration, and family engagement events.
