This is a part-time, hourly position.
Example of Duties:
- Greet visitors, answer, and route phone calls to serve the needs of students, academic advising staff, and faculty; maintain and organize college resource fliers; assist with maintaining office supplies and equipment including inventory, distribution, and requisitions.
- Assist with student registration; provide information to students regarding scheduling and advising; and assists students to find appropriate resources at the college.
- Train students on how to navigate the student portal and other PCCC IT resources.
- Provide outreach to students using email, phone, video, or in-person meetings.
- Use relevant college resources and refer students to services based on individual student needs.
- Work with the academic advising staff to promote guidelines and information on academic programs; refer students to an academic advisor when they deviate from an established academic plan.
- Support recruiting, enrollment, and retention events; facilitate Academic Advising workshops.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent customer service and support-oriented approaches to interaction.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, team environment.
- Ability to travel to additional PCCC locations.
- Evening and weekend hours may be required.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position is $22.
