This is a 1.0 FTE vacancy, grade A-09 187 days, located at Grace Hopper-Pathways.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to teacher and to students
Ability to communicate with parents. - Collaborative team player.
- Willingness to work under teacher direction and supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and children
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with students
- Experience working in a elementary school setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Clear understanding of the educational needs of students, which includes, but not
limited to, assistance with physical, or sensory needs. - Must be reliable, dependable and flexible.
- Assistants must meet the requirements of the NCLB and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) at the time of
hire. - A high school diploma, and An Associate Degree or two years of college study
- At least 60 semester hours, OR
- a 455 on the parapro test
SALARY:
- Salary range based upon 26/27 pay plan.
- Newly hired employees with previous experience in their field may receive salary credit for up
to five years of experience related to the job being filled.
