Human Resources announces a 1.0 FTE, Interlude Resource Assistant, Grade A-09, 190 days, located at Nottingham Elementary.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to teachers and to students in general education and special education classrooms.

Experience:

Experience working with students with special needs.

Experience working in a classroom setting.

Qualifications:

Clear understanding of the educational needs of special education and general education students, which includes, but is not limited to, assistance with physical, or sensory needs.

Must be reliable, dependable, and flexible.

Assistants must meet the requirements of the NCLB and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) at the time of hire.

A high school diploma, and an associate degree, or two years of college study.

At least 60 semester hours OR

A score of at least 455 on the Parapro Test.

Salary:

Based on 26/27 Pay Plan. Newly hired individuals with previous experience in their field may receive salary credit for up to 5 years of experience related to the job being filled.
