811 - Staff Accountant

We need an English-fluent Staff Accountant, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Are you the one we are looking for?

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping (A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, month-end close, financial record-keeping).
• Oversee payroll activities and ensure accuracy.
• Review current accounting processes and recommend improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial reporting, job costing implementation, and supporting future acquisitions.
• Assist admin-related tasks as needed.
• Maintain organized company records and ensure financial data integrity.
• Eventually recruit and manage an entry-level bookkeeper or admin support as the company grows.
  

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience as a staff accountant or senior bookkeeper.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).
• Solid knowledge of payroll, GAAP principles, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting process improvements, system implementations, or streamlining accounting operations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Consultative mindset with the ability to identify flaws and propose solutions.
• Comfortable balancing transactional tasks with higher-level strategic accounting projects.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

It´s a Plus:

• Experience with job costing.
• Exposure to M&A activities or supporting financial due diligence.
