. Essential Duties / Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the MCS Business Operations team in executing analytics tied to 80/20 transformation, growth initiatives, and operational productivity.
  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to support leadership decision-making and cross-functional business reviews.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and recurring reports that provide visibility to key business performance indicators.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, structure, and prepare data for reporting, dashboarding, and analysis.
  • Assist in 80/20 segmentation analysis across products, customers, markets, or other dimensions to identify the critical few opportunities and simplification priorities.
  • Support KPI monitoring, variance analysis, and trend analysis to help teams understand business drivers and performance gaps.
  • Help develop clear and accurate executive-level reporting materials, including charts, summaries, and data-driven business narratives.
  • Translate complex datasets into concise insights and recommendations that can be understood and acted upon by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders across functions to clarify reporting needs, understand business questions, and deliver timely analytics support.
  • Monitor and improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and consistency in definitions, logic, and presentation.
  • Support scenario analysis and trade-off modeling to inform business prioritization and operational decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, simplify analysis workflows, and improve the accessibility of insights.
  • Maintain documentation for reports, metrics, assumptions, and data logic to support transparency and continuity.

4. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, finance, operations, or a related area through coursework, internships, co-ops, or professional experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL for querying, extracting, and manipulating data.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development, visualization, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with structured and complex datasets.
  • Ability to quickly understand business needs and synthesize data into relevant insights for decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and support leadership with professionalism and responsiveness.

5. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business performance reporting, KPI dashboards, or operational analytics in a corporate or manufacturing-related environment.
  • Exposure to 80/20 analysis, segmentation, profitability analysis, or business prioritization frameworks.
  • Familiarity with variance analysis, forecasting support, scenario modeling, or plan-versus-actual reporting.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources to create business-ready reporting outputs.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data validation, or reporting controls that improve data quality and consistency.
  • Exposure to enterprise systems, reporting platforms, or data environments relevant to business operations.
  • Experience supporting leaders or cross-functional stakeholders with data-driven insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling visualizations and concise business narratives from analytical findings.
